MP Visit to Willow Bank Primary

Willow Bank Primary School welcomed local MP Abena Oppong-Asare MP on Friday. She spent the morning at their breakfast club, speaking to the whole school and the year 6 parents at their sharing assembly, as well as meeting the School Ambassadors and answering their questions.

Abena initially arranged to visit year 6 in response to letters they had written to her regarding conservation issues around Southmere Lake. It was a great opportunity for them to discuss British Values, especially the democratic process, the rule of law and even provide insights into how the children might aspire to be future Members of Parliament one day.
