Peareswood Primary recognised by Secretary of State for Education

27th Jan 2026

We are incredibly proud to see Peareswood Primary School recognised by the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, for the exceptional outcomes achieved by disadvantaged pupils at the end of the 2024/2025 academic year.

In a letter addressed to Headteacher Carla Ferla, the Secretary of State praised the school’s performance, placing Peareswood among the very best nationally and highlighting the dedication of staff and the hard work of pupils. The letter also recognises the school’s role in sharing effective practice and supporting wider system improvement.

A huge well done to the whole Peareswood community – recognition that is so well deserved.

Headteacher Carla Ferla said: “We are incredibly proud to have received a letter from the Secretary of State recognising the outcomes achieved by our children at the end of the 2024/25 academic year. It reflects the daily commitment and high expectations of our school team, who ensure every child is supported, challenged and believed in. Our children’s achievements are the result of consistent practice, strong relationships and a shared determination to do the very best for our children.”
