Specialist Resource Provision Opens at Lime Wood Primary

A new chapter for Inclusion at Lime Wood Primary School

Lime Wood Primary School is proud to have a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), called Tiny Seed, which opened in November 2025.

The SRP provides places for 12–15 children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where the primary need is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). It is designed to offer specialist support within a mainstream school environment, helping children achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Lime Wood Primary, their vision is:“To deliver a curriculum that is provided by good teachers underpinned by an effective blueprint for excellence in culture, behaviour, attainment and wellbeing – to find the champion in everyone.”

Their SRP reflects this vision by providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where children with ASD and SLCN can grow in confidence and thrive.

Headteacher Claire Ingrams, was delighted to welcome SEND Case Officers Georgina Mannering, Lucy Fairclough and Natasha Prigg from London Borough of Bexley to discuss and share updates of the Special Resource Provision since its opening at the start of this term. During their visit, they toured the school and spent time in the provision, meeting some of the children who attend and seeing firsthand the supportive environment that the team has created.

It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the early impact of the provision, celebrate the collaborative work already taking place, and look ahead to how they can continue strengthening support for their learners.

Headteacher Claire and the team also looking forward to working with colleagues across the Woodland Academy Trust to share learning, celebrate progress and refine our inclusive practice. The vision is that this provision will not only transform outcomes for the children who attend, but also act as a model of effective inclusion and collaboration for the wider school community.
