This significant accomplishment recognises our dedication to establishing a robust and structured approach for responsibly and effectively integrating AI into our educational environment. The Good Future Foundation's AI Quality Mark, awarded in Bronze, Silver, and Gold categories, requires schools to demonstrate purposeful engagement with key aspects of AI integration. This rigorous process ensures that AI tools are implemented with clear intention and safety measures, aligning with each school’s mission to provide quality, innovative education.

Willow Bank Pupil Achievements: Bexley Music Scholarship
7th Oct 2024Willow Bank Primary are extremely proud to announce that two of their talented pupils, Kinfe and Nife, have been awarded prestigious four-year scholarships from Bexley Music! This incredible opportunity will allow them to further develop their instrumental skills and knowledge. Kinfe and Nife are multi-instrumentalists, already proficient in playing both the piano and trumpet. 19th Sep 2024Woodland Academy Trust one of 23 MATs leading the way with pathfinding Artificial Intelligence report On 18 September 2024, a team of 23 Multi-Academy Trusts from across England published a pathfinding report setting out a 10 point guidance framework for those leading AI in schools, and a set of 29 practical recommendations for school system leaders. Woodland Academy Trust was part of a team of multi-academy trusts representing 413 schools, 250,000 students and 32,00 staff, with other MATs including Oasis Community Learning, Bourne Education Trust, LEO Academy Trust, United Learning, Woodland Academy Trust, David Ross Education Trust, E-ACT, Great Schools Trust, King Edward VI Foundation, L.E.A.D Academy Trust, Maritime Academy Trust, Prince Albert Community Trust, Rainbow Academy Trust, Robin Hood Multi Academy Trust, RGS Worcester Family of Schools, The Arthur Terry Academy Trust, Galileo Academy Trust and the Warwick Schools Foundation. Over the last academic year, the group worked together through a series of in-person workshops and virtual learning lunches, with contributions from Professor Rose Luckin, Baroness Martha Lane Fox, Professor Sugata Mitra, Professor Sanjay Sarma, Professor Miles Berry, Sir Anthony Seldon, Erika Twani, John Murphy, Dan Fitzpatrick, Dina Foster, David Weston, and Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith. Provocations touched upon considerations ranging from contemporary thinking about what it means to be a teacher in the AI age, through to the organisational leadership of schools and trusts.

Knockhall Primary School Celebrates New Regeneration Project - ‘GROWING TOGETHER’
15th Jul 2024The community of Knockhall Primary School recently celebrated the opening of their newly developed regeneration project Growing Together areas; a project inspired by the school’s own pupils. The initiative, led by the children's creative ideas, has seen the transformation of an old garden and an overgrown pond into vibrant, educational spaces. The project began with the school’s pupils who submitted imaginative design ideas for improving the garden and pond area. Inspired by their artwork, the Woodland Academy Trust Trustee Sue Butterfill, Headteacher Miss Yiannadji, the school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) led by Lauren Longfield and the Local Academy Committee led by Carol Gale, collaborated together to bring this project to fruition.
